What's new in Swarm. It updates itself, so you're always on the latest.

• Never torrent unprotected. “Require a proxy” grew into “Require a VPN or proxy” — unless a proxy is set or a VPN owns your connection, every transfer pauses and an unmissable banner tells you why. It watches the network live: if your VPN drops mid‑download, transfers stop on the spot. (Tailscale's mesh correctly doesn't count as a VPN — an exit node does.)
• A green status line under the toggle shows exactly which protection is active.
• Fixed: pausing a torrent that was still fetching metadata looked like it did nothing — the pause worked, but the row kept saying “Fetching metadata…” instead of “Paused.”

• Magnet links now work through a proxy. The kill switch no longer turns DHT off — libtorrent routes DHT through the SOCKS5 proxy, never around it, so it was safe all along. Only local discovery (LSD/UPnP/NAT‑PMP), which can't be proxied, is disabled.
• Test Proxy now checks UDP too. It sends a real tracker request through the proxy's UDP relay and reports TCP ✓ · UDP ✓ — or warns you that the proxy drops UDP, which breaks DHT and most magnet links (some VPN proxies, including PIA's, are TCP‑only).

• “Require a proxy” safety — optionally pause all transfers if no proxy is set, so nothing ever goes out unprotected.
• Fixed the right‑click menu on torrent cards.

• Swarm 1.0. A fast, genuinely native Mac BitTorrent client — no ads, no accounts, no Electron.
• VPN‑friendly privacy — route torrents through a SOCKS5 proxy with a kill switch that blocks transfers (and DHT/UPnP) if it drops, plus a Test Proxy button that shows your exit IP. Keep your system VPN off and your phone remote (Tailscale) keeps working.
• Polish — remembers your filter, selection, search and layout across launches; respects Reduce Motion; VoiceOver labels; and right‑click actions on torrents.

• More reliable updates — fixed the entitlement that could stop the in-app updater from installing.
• Remembers where you left off — your selected filter, torrent, search, and layout now survive quit and relaunch.
• Richer phone control — tap a torrent to expand its files, peers, and trackers inline; live updates over WebSocket; add a .torrent file; pick which files to download; pull to refresh.
• Light app icon — the icon now follows light/dark too.
• Right-click a torrent for quick actions; respects Reduce Motion; VoiceOver labels.

• Control it from your phone — turn on web control and run Swarm from any browser: add magnets, pause, remove, and tap a torrent for files, peers, and trackers.
• Reach it anywhere — works on your home network, or over Tailscale with a real HTTPS padlock. Password-required; nothing exposed to the internet.
• Light, Dark, or System — the whole app now follows your appearance choice, with a matching light app icon.
• Fixed a bug where the remote password and other settings could reset on relaunch.

• Shortcuts & Siri — add magnets, pause/resume, set turtle mode, or get status from the Shortcuts app.
• Run a Shortcut on completion — automate what happens when a download finishes.
• Auto-extract archives — finish a download and Swarm unpacks the .zip/.tar.
• Turtle mode — a one-click global speed throttle (⇧⌘T or the menu bar).
• Data usage & monthly cap — track usage by day and auto-pause at a limit.
